From Earth Day to Climate Week: Tunecore and Earthpercent Expand “Give Nature a Split” With Artist Donation Match

Announced during Climate Week NYC, the new matching program builds on the sustainability-focused partnership, doubling the impact of participating artists’ contributions to fund global nature protection and restoration efforts

NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 22, 2026 – TuneCore, the leading independent development partner for self-releasing artists—part of Believe, the Paris-based global artist development company—has announced a new phase of its environmental sustainability partnership with EarthPercent, the music industry climate and nature non-profit co-founded by Brian Eno, and and the Sounds Right initiative led by the Museum for the United Nations – UN Live.

As part of the companies’ “Give Nature A Split” initiative launched earlier this year, TuneCore artists who choose to directly support ecosystem restoration by donating a portion of their streaming revenue to indigenous and community-led nature conservation and restoration efforts will now double their impact as TuneCore will match donations through the end of 2026.

Brian Miller, Chief Business Officer, TuneCore, commented, “Artists have a powerful ability to inspire change directly through their music. With ‘Give Nature A Split,’ we’re making it easier for independent artists who want to support the planet to channel their music into meaningful action. By matching their donations through the Sounds Right Fund, TuneCore will amplify their influence and help their music make more of an impact.”

Artists interested in donating a percentage of their streaming royalties to the Sounds Right Fund for nature protection and restoration through EarthPercent can simply list NATURE—the official artist page for the natural world—as a collaborator on their release and easily set up a royalty split. Once the track is released, the determined percentage of distribution royalties will automatically be donated to nature conservation via the Sounds Right Fund, prioritizing small and medium-sized conservation initiatives. Additional information can be found here.

Cathy Runciman, Co-Executive Director, EarthPercent commented, “The music community has enormous potential to become a powerful source of funding for climate and nature action. Give Nature A Split makes that participation simple: artists can share a small part of what their music earns and turn it into direct support for organisations protecting and restoring the natural world. We’re thrilled that TuneCore is now matching those contributions, doubling what artists raise and showing what’s possible when artists and the wider music industry get behind climate action together.”

Artists and labels interested in participating in the “Give Nature A Split” initiative can sign up to distribute music via TuneCore at www.tunecore.com.
